Interview with Viviana Rodriguez

Over Thanksgiving I was lucky enough to travel to Puerto Rico. While I was there I caught up with my favorite sewing teacher on the entire Island Viviana Rodriguez in her amazing studio in the Toa Baja region of North Eastern Puerto Rico.

I got to her sewing studio in time to see one of her afternoon classes finishing up, I got to hang out with her and her daughter in the studio for awhile, we did a little Sewing Boss Interview and we even went out for pizza after with her entire family.

Hanging out with my new friend Viviana and doing this interview was definitely one the highlights of my entire trip to Puerto Rico.

I absolutely loved finding out all about how her little sewing operation works and getting to know her better! Please watch for yourself and let me know what you think. 

La dueña y administradora, Viviana M. Rodríguez Cruzado, tiene un barchillerato en Ciencias Sociales de la UPR. También estudió arte en la Escuela Central de Artes Visuales en Santurce.

Tiene un certificado en costura del programa de Extensión Agrícola de la UPR y ha estudiado y ganado experiencia con costureras de la comunidad así como por su cuenta.  Posee también una basta experiencia trabajando con niños y niñas de todas las edades.

Misión y Visión

Elemental es un taller creativo de costura para la niñez que busca educar y entusiasmarles en las destrezas de costura básica y diseño a través de actividades divertidas donde puedan aprender, crear, compartir y divertirse.

Somos un taller que busca ser líder y participar en la gestión de promover la cultura puertorriqueña y las artes manuales a través de su participación en eventos creativos culturales en toda la isla de forma divertida y consciente.
