NYC Garment District Fabric Shopping Tour

Join us in the heart of New York City's Garment District for an afternoon of shopping and learning all about fabric.

Megan Avery (who's been leading this tour for over 10 years) will take you to all her favorite fabric & notions shops carrying supplies used in garment & home decor sewing.

She'll teach you about different types of fabrics and which types are better for different garments and projects. Bring your wallet so you can make some purchases while we're there.

You'll also be able to take swatches of the things you like to compare and contrast your favorites.
Class will meet in Mid Town Manhattan close to the Port Authority and Penn Station Train Station. Participants will be emailed the exact location upon sign up.

What you'll learn:
- Fabric identification- Fabric content identification- Where all the fabric hot spots in NYC are.

What To Bring:
- Comfortable walking shoes- Your wallet for making fabric purchases.
